The Cisco Nexus 3172TQ-XL (N3K-C3172TQ-XL) is a 1 rack unit (RU) switch with 8GB of RAM and dual-core 2.5GHz x86 CPUs and 10GBASE-T with 48 10GBASE-T RJ-45 ports (each port can operate at 100-Mbps and 1-Gbps speeds) and 6 Quad SFP+ (QSFP+) ports (each QSFP+ port can support 4 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 40 Gigabit Ethernet). The Cisco Nexus 3172TQ-XL is a minor hardware revision of the Cisco Nexus 3172TQ respectively. Enhancements include an additional 4 GB of memory (for a total of 8 GB). The additional memory allows users to perform object-model programming.

سوئیچ شبکه سیسکو مدل N3K-C3172TQ-XL دارای پورت اترنت 72 × 10 گیگابیت (48 10GBASE-T و 6 QSFP +) و 48 پورت RJ-45 پشتیبانی از 100 مگابیت در ثانیه، 1 گیگابیت در ثانیه و 10 گیگابیت در ثانیه و 6 پورت QSFP از 4 الی 10 گیگابیت اترنت یا 40 گیگابیت اترنت می باشد. این سوئیچ از فن اضافی (3 + 1) ُ 2 منبع برق اضافی و پورت های مدیریت، کنسول و USB flash-memory برخوردار است.

با ظرفیت ظرفیت 1.4 Tbps و نرخ حمل و نقل تا 1 bpps داده های شبکه را انتقال می دهد و حداکثر واحد انتقال حداکثر (MTU) حداکثر تا 9216 بایت (فریم jumbo) می باشد. این سوئیچ با حافظه بافر 12 مگابایت که داده های شبکه را قبل از ارسال نگهداری می کرد و رم ۴ گیگابایت و فلش 12 مگابایت داده های شبکه را ذخیره می کند.
